Youth Parliament of Pakistan (YPP) is a non-governmental, non-political and non-religious organization. It’s aims and objectives are to motivate and empower young people in politics and social activities.
Youth Parliament of Pakistan is currently implementing “DO THE TALK : Mera Amal ; Mera Haq” project in 20 Districts and 80 Towns of Pakistan. Including four Provinces (Sindh, Balochistan, KPK and Punjab), Gilgat Baltistan and Azad Kashmir. The project is under financial and technical support of USAID.
The project aims to develop and polish leadership skills as well as empowering young people on Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights. Two activities are carried on every month in each District including Training, Survey, Theater performance, Radio programs… etc.
Sarmad Ali – Province Coordinator, also a very active Youth Voices Count Member in Pakistan shared : “This September, our task was to hold the TOT (Training of Trainee’s) with District Youth Council members, Town Youth Council members and Government Health Department of each province to engage them for Youth Friendly Health Services in Hospitals and raising awareness of young people about HIV Aids prevention, Sexual Transmitted Infections and Diseases.”
“I have conducted 3 Days Training as Provincial Coordinator of Sindh and Trainer of Youth Parliament in District Dadu, Hyderabad and 4 Districts of Karachi with more than 90 young people and government health department of Sindh. We have also collectively conducted Survey on Youth Health and Situation of Health in Government Hospitals in above Districts in Sindh which is even very busy, but also a successful month of our project ! “ – Sarmad said.
